Calendar 2013

Hello everyone.
Back again with the first creation of the year, Calendar 2013. Was given an opportunity to be Guest Designer of the month on ICR, the challenge of the month being New Year 2013 Calendar + Recycle or upcycle something ICRC25, for which I made an Easel Calendar.

Making a calendar for the first time. Since the challenge was to recycle something I have used an empty cereal box for the base of the calendar. The flower is made of wire which is covered with old magazine paper and shaped into spirals.

Materials used to make the calendar.

For the butterfly I used some beads saved from my daughters necklace which gave way. Finished off the edge of the calendar with paper rope handle form some shopping bag.

Bargello Paper Quilting

Made this card for ICRC23 challenge "Paper Quilting Method + Diwali". I have made an Easel card and used the Bargello technique of Quilting. I have used different designer papers to create this design. Different designs can be achieved by arranging the designer papers differently to get the intended interesting pattern.

Paper Quilting - Bargello Technique

The below picture shows the open view of the card.

The below was the card that was originally made for the challenge but decided to go with the above one as it had a Bargello technique.

If you want to participate in the above challenge - Please find below the challenge pad.

I am also submitting both these creations to The ItsyBitsy K-I-S-S Challenge.

Oriental Shaker Card

Hello everybody.
Have put together another card today. It started with a totally different idea and layout in mind and ended up being something totally different. Designed this card for ICRC22 Monochromatic and letter family.
Decided to go with the letter R. So chose the colour RED. The shape of the card is a Rectangle.
I have decided to do an Oriental themed Shaker card.

Here is a closer view of the shaker part of the card. Have used Rice and Red coloured beads in the Rectangle shaped Window with a Rose on the top and Rope on the edge of the card.

This pic is the close up of the Red Kimono (origami) and the Red Fan.

Hope all of you liked this creation of mine. Happy Crafting :)
Also submitting this for the Itsy Bitsy Make It Dimensional Challenge
